Robert Wheeler Joins BSR Solutions

The experience and capability of BSR Solutions, in meeting the needs of our Government and telecommunications sector clients, has had a major boost with Robert Wheeler, former NSW Government Chief Information Officer, joining the firm as a Director.

During his time as NSW Government CIO, Robert developed a reputation as a high achiever in the public sector use of Information and Communications Technology to deliver cost-effective services. He was responsible for making available, fast broadband at greatly reduced cost to NSW Government agencies and introducing computers and fast Internet access to over 1,500 community service agencies across NSW.

Robert has 10 years experience in leading the public sector Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) agenda. This includes extensive knowledge and understanding of public sector processes and networks at senior executive level. Prior to joining the NSW Government, Robert worked in the commercial sector for over 14 years in product development, sales and marketing management. This experience was gained in organisations such as Telstra and OTC.

Robert has access to extensive networks of decision makers at senior levels across the Australian ICT industry and in public sector agencies in Australia and Asia. He also has extensive experience working with other States and the Commonwealth Government on standards and direction to advance ICT in Australia.

Robert has acquired senior management experience leading complex organisations, involving a number of stakeholders to provide improved services, drive more efficient processes and provide the underlying infrastructure that supports electronic service delivery.

With Robert as a Director, BSR Solutions is able to extend our range of services and provide highly-skilled advice to our clients on a broad spectrum of issues, including eGovernment, ICT investment strategies and communications solutions, that can give maximum value for money.
